Saga Insurance Review

Saga Insurance Website (Saga.co.uk): OK, so as I found out on the phone, saga insurance is for only 50's and over. I decided to have a go on their website anyway to see how far I could get and to see what it was like.

To start off with on their home page I had the chance to change the font size, considering that my sight is fine though I decided to go straight on to the quote page.

The first thing that caught my eye was the box where they asked for my title, expecting to see just Mrs., Mr., Miss and Ms, I was shocked to find so many options. There were so many choices and some of them I'd never even heard of before, for example, Viscount, Mr. Justice, LBDR, Gunner, Canon and Bombardier, and believe me that's only a few of them. There was also the option of Sheriff, I know they have Sheriff's in the US, but I'd never heard of them in the UK before, they also had Commodore, which again I've never heard in the UK.

After the disappointment that I had no fancy title I went on with the rest of the questions, there were all the usual ones asking about the car, what cover I wanted and my address and such like. However this was as far as I could go, I clicked on the next button and got told I was too young for them to cover me. I may not of gotten very far but for some reason I now have to urge to be known by one of those unusual titles, at least I now have 30 years to accomplish this.

Saga Insurance Phone: After getting through to the right department, which didn't take long, I was talking to a person who was really polite and easy to talk to. However, we hit a problem when she asked me my age, which was admittedly only about the third question in. The problem was that Saga only do insurance for people over 50, making me 30 years to young. The person I was on the phone with was almost apologetic about this, but it soon turned into a bit of a joke, which was actually quite funny. After saying I'd try again in a few decades we had a bit of a chuckle and they thanked me for my call anyway.*
