LV Liverpool Victoria Review

Liverpool Victoria Insurance Website (LV.com): I thought their website was actually quite boring overall, however there was a picture of a little baby's feet under the life insurance box was undeniably cute.

The actual car insurance button was also quite sweet, being a blue and green heart. This opened a new window where they asked me all the usual questions about my details and about my car. The only fault I could find with this was that the lowest value I could place my car at was 'less than £20,000' and my car is worth so much less than that it's crazy.

Other than that though I found everything else was really simple to use, the questions were to the point and the whole thing only took a minute to complete. After this I was given my quote, and it was here that I could add any extras and change my voluntary excess. One thing they didn't tell me was what my young persons excess was, this might have been because they didn't have one, but I seriously doubt it. Other than that though I really couldn't fault it, it was quick, simple and they kept to the topic without asking me anything irrelevant.

My final quote was £1525.98 as one annual payment, or they gave me the option of paying in 9 monthly installments of £144.70 with a deposit of £305.20, this would make a yearly total of £1607.50.

Liverpool Victoria Insurance by Phone: I found the Liverpool Victoria phone service was surprisingly nice to use, the person I spoke to was polite and sounded really friendly, they even laughed at their own mistake. They spoke in a clear voice and asked me all the questions in simple terms without over complicating things and they kept the questions short and to the point. I was told all the options they had and what they would mean to me, and how they would effect my overall quote. They explained to me how they would hold my quote for 60 days so I could call back during that time and my quote would remain the same. The explained all the excess to me, the fees for different claims and even after they had given me my final quote they went over it with me explaining exactly what was included in it. They even then broke the quote down and told me the individual prices of things that I would be covered for. They then thanked me for calling and hoped that I had a good day, which was a nice note to end on. All in all it was actually a really nice (dare I say enjoyable?) phone call. They answered any questions I had and seemed to be a genuinely pleasant person to talk with.

My final quote was for an annual payment was £1106.82, or I could pay in 9 monthly installments of £104.96 with a deposit of £221.36.*
